To be honest we didn’t expect much of this film to begin with, but we’ve been going through a scifi phase (mostly time travel stuff) and I think we’ve ran out of quality movies in that genre to watch…
The “Outer Limits” (’95-’99 ?) had several excellent episodes dealing with time travel. I highly recommend them. the torrents are floating around all over. Just a thought
Sci Fi and Time Travel, hm…
Yes, the “Time Machine” of course, also the new one, it has some week parts but some of the ideas I like, especially the computer, a transparent plate with a guy, the avatar of the computer intelligence, it survived, a bit broken, thousands of years.
However, it’s the soundtrack I really like.
“Timeline”, Can’t say that’s a typical time travel, it’s more a medival fantasy.
Star Trek has three movies with time travels.
I always laugh, (ich lache mich scheckig), when Scotty takes the computer mouse as a microphone.
Sadly, until today, voice command doesn’t work properly, maybe that’s the reason why Captain Janeway’s Laptop on her desk is bigger than a laptop of the early 21st century.
And TV series?
“Doc Who”, who else? (not very popular in Germany)
“Primeval”, but with “bauchschmerzen”.
Another funny thing is the “Prehistoric Park”, Nigel Marven, (who was eaten in an episode of “Primeval”), travels through time and bring ‘em back alive, Dinosaurs, Terror Birds, Mammoth’s etc.
I can’t really suggest any per se, but here’s a couple of links to websites listing scifi time travel movies over the last few decades.

I’ve seen “Sound of Thunder” and liked it. I found out later it was based on a short story by Ray Bradbury (a fav author) by the same name.
After reading the synopsis to “Sound of Thunder” I realized that it’s part of a collection of scifi short stories that I read as kid.
Have you seen “Frequency”? (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0186151/combined)
It’s more time travel with a twist than exactly time travel, but a great movie none the less.
We saw it some years ago. We like Dennis Quaid so that might be watched again some day.
Hi,
If you want Sci-Fi in general, a couple of good films that are normally overlooked,
Pandorum (Dennis Quaid) and Splice.
Actually, I’ve been thinking about checking Pandorum out. As for Splice…. it could have been so much better.

Aaah! Outer Limits! There was a lot of good episodes in that series. That and Twilight Zone.
Many of those episodes have much later been made into feature films…

Dr.Who definitely!
Try the episode “Blink!” (i dunno which season).
From Germany with rain
HA! Blink is episode 10/Season 3
“12 Monkeys”
One of the coolest time-travel flicks ever.
